{"id":552,"date":"2011-10-23T22:04:10","date_gmt":"2011-10-23T21:04:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.xs4all.co.uk\/tablefortwo\/?p=552"},"modified":"2011-10-23T22:04:10","modified_gmt":"2011-10-23T21:04:10","slug":"spiced-toffee-apple-cake","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.xs4all.co.uk\/tablefortwo\/2011\/10\/23\/spiced-toffee-apple-cake\/","title":{"rendered":"Spiced toffee apple cake."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>From the recent edition of Good Food Mag.<\/p>\n<p>I tried it, I like it, will make it again tomorrow and take it to work, but with more ginger and more spices and maybe with some pecan nuts too, I think it would make it even more awesome.<\/p>\n<p>200 g of dates were roughly chopped for this recipe and simmered with 200ml of milk, then pureed nicely and added to the\u00a0 mixture of 250 g of soft butter, 4 eggs, 280 g of self raising flour, 200 g of brown sugar, 2 tsp pf vanilla paste, and a touch of baking powder to lift it up. All this was beaten up and poured out onto a baking tray lined with baking parchment. In the meantime I cored 3 apples, red apples, all for the looks, did not peel them, but sliced thinly and arranged in the cake mixture into rows.<\/p>\n<p>Baked in 180 degrees for about 45 minutes, then finished off with maple syrup and icing sugar.\u00a0 Pat on the back. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.xs4all.co.uk\/tablefortwo\/files\/2011\/10\/DSC_2506.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-553\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.xs4all.co.uk\/tablefortwo\/files\/2011\/10\/DSC_2506.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"384\" height=\"257\" \/><\/a><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>From the recent edition of Good Food Mag.
