Accommodation

Our house stands in the grounds of Footsteps Eco-Lodge and everything is eco-friendly – solar power, solar-heated hot water and self-composting toilet, with waste water irrigating the garden.

The building is made from local materials and the rooms are tall and spacious with shuttered windows that allow free circulation of air. There’s a well-equipped kitchen for simple meals with 3-burner gas hob, sink and small fridge. Meals are also available at the Lodge restaurant and can be brought to the house at no extra cost.

There are fruit trees and flowering shrubs around the house and a shady verandah runs along it length. Beyond this, there’s a thatched seating area (bantaba) with hammocks and sun-loungers—ideal for a quiet drink.
